The Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center Team

Shauna

Hospital Manager/Registered Veterinary Technician

Shauna’s parents tell her that nothing made her happier as a kid than a visit to the zoo. It wasn’t a surprise to anyone that knew her when she chose a career as a veterinary professional!

Shauna grew up in northern California with her parents and younger brother. After receiving her Associate’s degree in veterinary technology from a local college, she received her technician’s licensure in 2004. She worked in the oncology department of a specialty practice in California, then took a few years off to raise her sons. In 2013, Shauna wanted to get back to work and joined the team here at Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center. Performing dental cleanings is one of Shauna’s favorite parts of her job; seeing an animal go from having an unhealthy and painful mouth to a healthy one is very rewarding! She’s also passionate about educating pet owners on the best possible care for their furry loved ones. Shauna lives in Santa Clarita with her husband and two sons. As a family, they enjoy heading to the zoo, watching baseball games, and seeing movies.

Karen

Registered Veterinary Technician

Karen has been in the veterinary field for over 30 years. Being a part of the wonderful team here at Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center helps her fulfill her need to provide the best possible care to her patients and their families. Helping pets live a long and happy life is why Karen chose a career in veterinary medicine. From a professional standpoint, she is also interested in stress-free handling, pain management, and anesthesia for pets.

When she’s not at work, Karen loves spending time with her 2 dogs and 2 cats, and she enjoys the tranquility of her fish pond.

Jen

Veterinary Assistant

Whether she’s nursing a sick patient back to health or watching a puppy grow into an adult dog, Jen loves the feeling of helping a pet. Her nurturing personality makes Jen the perfect fit here at Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center!

Jen was born in Tarzana, California, and raised in Lancaster and Bakersfield. Her interest in the veterinary field was triggered in 1996, when she went to Hawaii and swam with dolphins. In 1999, she became an exotic animal trainer at Moorpark College, and she also holds Associates Degrees in Animal Training and Behavior as well as Exotic Animal Training and Management. Since 2005, she’s been a member of the compassionate Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center staff. Dentistry work is one of Jen’s favorite things to do around the clinic. She also likes building lasting bonds with pets and owners, and she loves to see pets grow up over the years. At home, Jen has a lab named Molly and a blue-fronted Amazon parrot with quite a large vocabulary. When she isn’t working or spending time with her family and pets, Jen enjoys hiking, snowboarding, rollerblading, and going to the beach.

Kaitlynn

Veterinary Assistant

Since childhood, Kaitlynn’s love of animals has driven her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from California State University Channel Islands and is currently applying to veterinary school with the goal of becoming a DVM and working with exotic animals. Kaitlynn’s favorite aspect of being a veterinary assistant is seeing patients walk out of our clinic looking and feeling better than when they arrived.

Outside of work and studying for vet school, Kaitlynn enjoys spending time with her family, friends, significant other, and pets. She also trains dogs in her free time. Kaitlynn shares her home with 3 pets: Phoenix, an American Staffordshire Terrier; Nala, an American shorthair; and Trixie, a calico.

Kay

Assistant

Kay grew up around animals, and always loved and treated them as family. Today, that love of animals has only grown as she dedicates herself to helping others, especially those unable to help themselves. The friendship and companionship that develop in this profession are extremely rewarding, as is helping those most in need. Kay has 3 pets of her own at home; 3 cats named Georgie, Storm, and Leo. In her free time, Kay enjoys working with music; she is also a photographer and artist. She is anxious to see herself grow in these areas; her greatest accomplishments are yet to come.

Emily

Veterinary Assistant

Emily chose to work in the veterinary field after seeing her first cat have to be put down due to an avoidable illness. After that, she knew she wanted to help as many pets as possible, and give families and their companions reassurance in their final moments together. One of the things Emily loves about the veterinary profession is getting to learn something new every day. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time and creating memories with her friends and loved ones. She has one four-legged family member of her own; an orange tabby named Nala.

Tiffany

Veterinary Assistant

Tiffany started her veterinary career while attending George Mason university in Fairfax Virginia, as a part time job. She fell in love with it. After having four kids, she chose to be a stay at home mom. As time moved forward, she decided to move back into the vet world and reconnect her spirit with animal care. “My day gets better with each animal I care for. Animals can tell a good human from the start, so making friends is important to me.”

Having a bachelors degree in Communications, Tiffany can focus on interpersonal, intercultural and public relations while still positively caring for clients and supporting them through any care their pet may need.

Tiffany’s passions include voice acting, on-camera acting and lifestyle modeling. She has 2 dogs named Paul  (Boston Terrier) and POSIE (Pug, chihuahua, Dachshund mix) and 3 cats named, Luna, Patches and Link. Animals are sent to us with pure unfiltered unconditional love. They are only here for a short time so they can teach us unconditional love because we as humans are not just born with it.

Anila

Customer Service Representative

Anila has always had a love for animals; they bring her so much joy. She could not imagine her life in any other line of work. Being a caregiver at heart, it was no surprise she ended up in the veterinary field. Anila has dedicated the last 19 years to caring for animals, and the most rewarding part of the job for her is being able to help people and their furry family members in their time of need. Anila has built many wonderful friendships throughout the years.

Anila came to Valencia after marrying her husband in 2017. Together they have a cat named Precious, who also happens to be the queen of the house. When she’s not working, Anila enjoys spending time with her family, her little nephew, and friends, and she also loves traveling with her husband whenever they get the chance.

Jenny

Customer Service Representative

Jennifer’s love for animals started when she was a little girl; she always knew she wanted to help them in some way. When she saw stray dogs around, she would say that when she was old enough, she was going to pick them all up and take care of them. Jennifer interned with the Animal Behavior College a few years back, and during this internship she met her husband, whom she married in 2021. She has 4 dogs (Dachshund/Chihuahua mixes) that live with her parents, named Lucy, Paco, Rodney, and Rambo. Jennifer loves meeting and working with people who love animals as much as she does, and getting to play with puppies on a regular basis is also a plus! Some of her hobbies include listening to music, baking and trying new recipes, shopping, and getting her nails done.
