Dr. Niklaus W. Fox

Growing up on a large sheep and cattle ranch in Montana, Dr. Nicklaus Fox was surrounded by animals from a young age. He always knew he wanted to work with animals, but he also wanted a professional and secure career. Veterinary medicine was the perfect combination!

Dr. Fox earned his Bachelor’s degree in animal science from Montana State University. After attending Colorado State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, he moved to California with his DVM degree to begin practicing small-animal medicine. He began doing relief work at Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center a few years ago, and now covers Saturday shifts. In 2013, Dr. Fox earned his certification in veterinary acupuncture. It has truly changed the scope of how he practices medicine—Dr. Fox has found the combination of Eastern and Western medicine to provide remarkable healing benefits. It truly is the best of both worlds! At home, Dr. Fox has several rescued pets. Midgey and Fifi are Chihuahua mixes, and Mavis and Leonard are brown tabby cats. When he isn’t caring for pets at the clinic, Dr. Fox donates his time to various animal rescue groups. He’s also active with several organizations that promote HIV education and awareness.
